Dismissal of Felony Charges to Include Burglary in Washington County
We achieved the dismissal of all charges for our client at the preliminary hearing where he had previously been charged with burglary and other felonies. Our client was alleged to have removed items from the home of his friend and friend’s father. The friend lived at the residence obtained mail there but also lived at a different location. Upon a falling out with the friend’s father, the friend was given an ultimatum to collect his belongings. Our client aided his friend and for his troubles was charged by the police with burglary. The Judge agreed with our argument that our client was an unwitting participant who lacked the knowledge and intent necessary to have committed the crime. All charges were dismissed.
