WHAT A COCAINE ATTORNEY CAN DO FOR YOU:
A skilled Pittsburgh drug attorney will closely examine all the alleged facts that led to your arrest. If you were arrested or charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, there had to have been probable cause. If it is found that your arrest stemmed from an illegal search and seizure, all charges will be dismissed.
People charged with illegal possession of cocaine often struggle with addiction and there may be a drug treatment program option available instead of having a prison sentence.
Options exist like the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD), The Allegheny County Drug Court Program, which is a rehabilitative program that can shorten your sentencing or the Probation without Verdict Program (PWV) which could allow your charges to be dropped completely and your criminal record expunged.
However, you can only be accepted into these types of programs upon certain stipulations.
An aggressive attorney on your side can help push for your application and acceptance into these types of programs.
