New Pennsylvania DUI Law for First Time DUI Offenders
Attorney Shrager Explains New PA DUI Law Effective Friday
Rabble VID News
Friday
A new Pennsylvania DUI law goes into effect Friday, and RabbleVID spoke with Attorney David Shrager about what that means for first time offenders.

Attorney David J. Shrager
This law will require first time DUI offenders with a blood alcohol content of 0.10 to have an ignition interlock system installed in their vehicle for at least one year.
Shrager says the ignition interlock system is not new technology but that the “Blow ‘n Go” gives people the ability to contribute to society while simultaneously protecting the public.
Under the old law, authorities would suspend the offender’s driver’s license for 12 months if their BAC was at or above 0.10.
The new law allows first time DUI offenders to have a choice between a that suspension or an interlock system installation.
If the offender chooses the ignition interlock system, it will cost the offender $100 per month.
“I like people working, paying taxes and being productive,” says Shrager.
There are a lot of “complexities” with laws involving DUI’s and Attorney Shrager is well-informed and prepared to explain the new law and to help clients with a DUI charge.
