Pittsburgh Attorney Veronica Brestensky
Attorney Brestensky is a Senior Attorney with Shrager Defense Attorneys. She is an experienced and dedicated criminal lawyer who is described by her clients as being “down-to-earth, professional and very knowledgeable”.
Veronica Brestensky, Esq. was born and raised in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She is the only child of Kathleen and the late John Brestensky. She graduated from Kiski Area High School and enrolled at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA as an undergraduate student with a major in Political Science.
Veronica graduated from Duquesne University’s School of Law at only 23 years of age and became a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania on October 11, 2005, after passing the Pennsylvania Bar Exam.
During her final year of law school, Veronica interned with the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel (OCC). The OCC had just been created to deal with the ever growing demands of providing indigent adult defendants legal representation throughout the criminal justice system. During her time at the OCC, Veronica first served as Associate Counsel before being promoted to Assistant Chief Counsel of the Adult Division in 2008.
While with the Office of Conflict Counsel, Attorney Brestensky provided criminal defense representation to nearly a thousand clients at every stage of the criminal justice system, including:

Veronica remained with the Office of Conflict Counsel until the Spring of 2011 when she left to open her own private practice. Over the next several years, Attorney Brestensky continued to focus her practice on criminal defense throughout Western PA.
Attorney Brestensky became Death Penalty certified and successfully tried a Capital Murder case in 2013. While in private practice she also focused heavily on juvenile delinquency matters.
